About This Platform
Club Champions League on RallyMe is an online funding tool that empowers athletes and teams to harness the power of the Internet and their personal networks to raise funds to help offset the costs of training, travel and competitions as they seek their own athletic dreams. The money raised here by CCL athletes and teams goes directly to them.
What is Club Champions League?
At the Club Champions League we believe that soccer and coaching should be available to everyone. And we are not talking about just kicking the soccer ball around in the park. We believe the values of the game lie in structured game play, working with a team, listening to a coach and honing technical skills. The same values apply to coaching: we believe all coaches should have opportunities to improve their skills through continued education, regardless of means.
The CCL is one of the first leagues to create a public charity to support this mission: raise money for youth soccer clubs to increase youth participation at the grassroots level. Long-term, we hope to see enhanced involvement in the game and –more importantly—continued growth of youth players and coaches, both on and off the field. At our core, CCL is made of soccer people, who want to use the game as a catalyst to join with others who share in the mission to present the very best youth soccer has to offer.
How is CCL different?
Good question, we are glad you asked!
From 1997-2012, the league operated as the Virginia Club Champions League (VCCL). In January 2013, the league was expanded to included 16 distinguished soccer clubs from Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. Despite such growth, the league continues to operate on a primary concept that includes three main components:
· Superior Competition;
· A Model for Player Development; and
· A Governing Board made up of Professional Soccer Directors from each club.
The CCL is based on the philosophy that the player is a member of the club as well as a member of the team, and that successful clubs develop players and teams from within.
Twenty years of hard work, success and triumph that has brought us here today. The CCL Directors are gratified to be the trailblazers in public charity space for youth soccer.
What is crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding is a fancy term for asking many people for a small amount of financial help to achieve a clearly stated goal.
What is RallyMe?
Our funding tool is powered by RallyMe.com, the No. 1 crowdfunding platform for athletes, teams and organizations. CNBC called RallyMe the “gold medal standard” in athlete crowdfunding.
Because we understand you better, we will help you more, and you will Raise More Money with us
There’s a reason RallyMe has been the choice of thousands of teams and athletes, and hundreds of Olympic hopefuls.
There’s a reason youth sports team managers overwhelmingly choose RallyMe.
There’s a reason more than two dozen National Governing Bodies and top sports organizations have partnered with and endorsed RallyMe.
It’s because we coach them better and they all raise more money on RallyMe; the average RallyMe contribution is 33% higher than contributions to general-interest crowdfunding sites.
Why? Unlike general-interest sites that serve a zillion different types of fundraisers, we built RallyMe specifically for you, and us.
Like you, we are parents of athletes, we are coaches, and we are lifelong athletes too. We’ve got a lot of skin in this game. RallyMe isn’t some Silicon Valley, venture-capital-funded, get-rich-quick scheme. We are here because we believe in the vision — that no athlete or team should ever have to give up their dreams because of a lack of funds — and we know how to help. On RallyMe, all the logic, the algorithms, the tools and the language is written for you and your Boosters.
The result? RallyMe simply works better than the one-size-fits-all crowdfunders. Online funding relies on connecting with your community and RallyMe helps you speak to the sports community in the language that brings results. It has to. Keeping young people in sports is a battle we can't afford to lose. It’s just too important.
